Ed is also co-founder and Chief Engineer of Digital Haiku, overseeing all technology and engineering operations. Ed co-founded Digital Haiku after leaving Z.com, an Idealab entertainment startup, where as Chief Engineer he successfully helped establish Z.com's technical infrastructure. Ed led recruitment of the engineering team while architecting and deploying the production web-farm, high performance mailing list server and ad serving technology. Ed is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Interactive Group (EMMY) and has published technical articles in the field of internet technology. Ed enjoys philosophy, politics, football, fantasy sports, motorcycles, flying, guns, sailing and technology.
