Ed Menendez was most recently Director of Development at Fanball.com. Ed managed the day to day operation of a server infrastructure optimized to run Fanball's peak traffic during the NFL football season. This traffic pushes Fanball into the top 1000 sites ranked by Alexa. Additionally, Ed architects and managed the development of high performance fantasy sports sites for AOL, eBay, The Onion, HGTV, PGA Tour and NASCAR as well as Fanball's own suite of games. He was instrumental in designing key realtime scoring technology for Fanball before other fantasy sites had cracked the real-time scoring puzzle. Ed is also co-founder and Chief Engineer of Digital Haiku, overseeing all technology and engineering
operations. Ed co-founded Digital Haiku after leaving Z.com, an Idealab entertainment startup, where as Chief Engineer he successfully helped establish Z.com's technical infrastructure. Ed led recruitment of the engineering team while architecting and deploying the production web-farm, high performance mailing list server and ad serving technology.
Ed enjoys philosophy, politics, football, fantasy sports, flying, guns and technology.
